Concern... 🚩

"Hey there, people, just stop it, I can't endure anymore!" Our earth might be shouting this way, isn't it? The saddest thing is, even after knowing all these, we ain't paying any attention in the direction of resolving them. Okay, what do I mean by saying 'these' and 'them' here, is the question right? Well, I mean to say, the threats which we humans have imposed on the whole planet and its creatures, including ourselves. Be it environmental hazards like tsunami, floods, draught, famine, etc., which are natural, but triggered by humans these days or human generated global warming, pollution, unhygienic living conditions and much more. The thoughts which ponder about within my brain go something like, what are we gaining by all these, what are we desperately longing for by exploiting the earthy resources, where do we go if something goes wrong with our only home, earth? Thinking about them creates some sort of uneasiness, at the same time, imagining the consequences brings in terror.

Moving to some of the common problems, we can quote global warming and pollution as the major ones.
What is global warming? What are its causes? What are its effects? How to prevent it? I've memorized and written answers to these questions probably in 6th grade! And I'm 101 percent sure that everyone, in some or the other grades of their schooling, have taken the risk to know answers to them by heart, so that they could puke the same on the exam sheet, such was the length of the answers to each of them...! By this we can estimate, how vast and complex is the matter. This has a very adverse effect in two ways, one is the increasing earth temperature, the other being the melting of polar ice caps.
Earth's temperature has risen by an average of 0.11°F per decade since 1850 and 2023 was the warmest year recorded. And, I think, the upcoming years will be warmer than the preceding years. Why is all this happening, just because of industries, vehicles and the heat and gases they let out. And who is responsible, we ourselves!
There are videos all over internet about the melting ice caps in the polar regions, due to which, the water level on earth is increasing. This, in turn, has a serious drawback of increased floods whenever there is excessive rainfall. Also the polar animals face a huge threat to their survival, once again because of us.

These days, people who move from rural settlement to urban dwelling will probably find it very difficult to adjust to the city lifestyle...! The crowd, the noise, the polluted air, and other disgusting scenes will probably make them feel like going back home, if not often, but sometimes. Such is the case with our cities today. Due to lots and lots of industries that are coming up day by day, people are just ruining the ecosystem by letting out the wastes unscientifically. This poses serious threat to the survival of every living being, as polluted air directly affects our respiratory cycle, polluted water affects our digestive system, in addition to the spread of some infectious diseases.

As animals with a boon of consciousness, we, humans, should act accordingly. We must have been the ones to protect the environment, but sadly, we are degrading it day by day. It's an alarming cause and we must make a positive move to address the issue and indeed do some good deed...!
