An outstanding illustration of the great Indian epic, the Ramayana. I, personally, enjoyed reading the book. It was easy to comprehend, as I'd already watched the Ramayana serial in my childhood. This book not only clears all the confusion about the epic, but also provides a chronological approach in narrating the entire tale.

There are separate sections for each course in the epic, say for example, ಬಾಲಕಾಂಡ for Rama's childhood. ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾಕಾಂಡ for Rama's youth and marriage, ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ for the 14 years of Rama's exile in the forest as per his father's order, ಕಿಶ್ಕಿಂಧಾಕಾಂಡ for Rama's encounter with Vaali and Sugreeva, ಸುಂದರಕಾಂಡ for Lord Hanuman's expedition to Lanka and related aspects, ಯುದ್ಧಕಾಂಡ, depicting the Rama-Ravana war, and finally, ಉತ್ತರಕಾಂಡ, explaining the aftermath of the Lankan war. 

The best part of the book, as per me, was the content written in ಉತ್ತರಕಾಂಡ. I wanted more information regarding the post-war situation and was delighted with reading the same through this book. I could not conceal my sympathy towards Sita at the end, even the words used in this section were both mesmerising and captivating.

Overall, the book is really worth reading for someone who's not aware of the exactness of the epic.

ಮಹಾನ್ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮಹಾಕಾವ್ಯವಾದ ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಒಂದು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ನಾನು, ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕವಾಗಿ, ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಓದುವುದನ್ನು ಆನಂದಿಸಿದೆ. ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಧಾರಾವಾಹಿಯೊಂದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಓದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಥಾಚರಿತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕವು ಮಹಾಕಾವ್ಯದ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಗೊಂದಲಗಳನ್ನು ನಿವಾರಿಸುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಇಡೀ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲಾನುಕ್ರಮದ ವಿಧಾನವನ್ನು ಸಹ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಮಹಾಕಾವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಘಟನಾವಳಿಗೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಿವೆ, ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ, ರಾಮನ ಬಾಲ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ 'ಬಾಲಕಾಂಡ'. ರಾಮನ ಯೌವನ ಮತ್ತು ಮದುವೆಗೆ 'ಅಯೋಧ್ಯಾಕಾಂಡ', ತಂದೆಯ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ರಾಮನ ವನವಾಸದ 14 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ 'ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ', ವಾಲಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಗ್ರೀವರ ಜೊತೆ ರಾಮನ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಗಾಗಿ 'ಕಿಷ್ಕಿಂಧಾಕಾಂಡ', ಲಂಕೆಗೆ ಹನುಮಂತನ ದಂಡಯಾತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಅಂಶಗಳು 'ಸುಂದರಕಾಂಡ'ದಲ್ಲಿ, 'ಯುದ್ಧಕಾಂಡ', 'ಉತ್ತರಕಾಂಡ' ರಾಮ-ರಾವಣ ಯುದ್ಧದ ನಂತರದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. 

ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಭಾಗವೆಂದರೆ ಉತ್ತರಕಾಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದ ವಿಷಯ. ನಾನು ಯುದ್ಧಾನಂತರದ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸಿದ್ದೆ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಮೂಲಕ ಅದನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಯಿತು. ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೀತೆಯ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ನನ್ನ ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿಯನ್ನು ನಾನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪದಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಮೋಡಿಮಾಡುವಂತವಾಗಿದ್ದವು.

ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆಯಾಗಿ, ಮಹಾಕಾವ್ಯದ ಆಶಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಯಾರಿಗಾದರೂ ಪುಸ್ತಕವು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಓದಲು ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ...
