Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen

Pride & Prejudice - Jane Austen

I purchased the book, thinking it had some twist with respect to its title. Accordingly, there was a twist, wherein the initial hatred between the lead characters, later changed into pure love. There's a quote on the cover page which says "I could easily forgive his pride if he had not modified mine."

The foreign context doesn't hold true with respect to our culture, be it the balls, the dance, the family dinings, but still it casts some good spell while reading. In the beginning, I found the novel a bit boring, but later on, with continuous reading, my perception changed and I began liking the storyline.

Overall, the book was a better refreshment...
