Can We Be Strangers Again? - Shrijeet Shandilya
A much awaited review! I'd heard people say that the book is really awesome, I was eager to possess one for myself, and here we go...
The title itself is catchy, there was something with it, I couldn't just avoid the book and thanks to the endless notifications and repeated recommendations from the online shopping platforms, I got my own copy, just weeks ago!
The storyline switches between the present(2024) and the past(2020). The author is constantly reminded of his college life, the 'MBA days' in his own words! The plot begins with the online classes due to COVID, back into the Campus of Christ University, later ending into IIM Goa, where the author is into delulu. What was that 'text', who sent it...?
His encounter with the two girls, Avantika and Tanishka, whom he talked to, for the first time, on his birthday, became his constant hanging circle and later, the ones responsible for his emotional turmoil. And the mystic connection of everything with the author's birthday which is on October 14. There's also a mention of the author's allergy to people whose names start from 'M'.
Well, the story is a typical demonstration of the so-called 'love-life' of this generation. In the course of keeping everything cool, they end up in a mess as the author himself did!
Overall, the story and its narration, both will keep you entertained till the end and kick up the curiosity within you to make you wonder what happened next...
