Twelfth Night - William Shakespeare
Twelfth Night - William Shakespeare
Yet another classic by the Bard of Avon, right after Romeo and Juliet! The play represents a perfect love triangle, wherein the Duke of Illyria, Orsino is madly in love with a wealthy lady named Olivia, who in turn falls in love with Cesario, the Duke's personal messenger to her.
Meanwhile, there'll be a disaster in the seas, due to which the twins from an aristocratic family, Viola and Sebastian get separated. In spite of each of them being alive, they won't be able to discover whether their sibling is alive or not.
In a crazy set of events, and a lot of confusion when the twins come face to face, the play ends with all the parties getting a partner for themselves, hence breaking the love triangle!
There's a tagline written on the book cover: "Better a witty fool, than a foolish wit." This applies perfectly to the clown and Maria.
Overall, it was a fun tale...
