The Monk who Sold His Ferrari - Robin Sharma

The Monk who Sold His Ferrari - Robin Sharma

Here again, one of the best sepf-help guides I've read after the "Power of your Subconscious Mind".

The book begins with the collapse of the most renowned litigator Julian Mantle in between the court session. Out of his ill way of living which obviously needed a repair, this had to happen, and it did.

After this incident, Julian suddenly disappears and reappears years later, completely transformed, both mentally and physically, leaving everyone in shock.

His junior, John takes special interest in knowing the secret of Julian's miraculous transformation, and it's through him that the age old secrets of well being practiced by the sages of Sivana are revealed to each of us.

Here are a few lines from the book that caught my eyes:
1. Mind management is the essence if life management.
2. From tonight onwards, forget about the past. Dare to dream that you are more than the sum of your current circumstances. Expect the best. You will be astonished at the results.
3. There is nothing noble about being superior to some other person. True nobility lies in being superior top your former self.
4. The purpose of life is a life of purpose.
5. You will never be able to hit a target that you cannot see.
6. There is a purpose for everything that had ever happened to you, and everything that will happen to you. Every experience offers lessons.
7. When you have taken the time to build a strong character full of discipline, energy, power and optimism, you can have anything and do anything you want in your outer world.
8. A book is the best friend of the wise.

There are many tiny techniques mentioned which will have profound impact in our lives if practiced diligently. To name a few, the heart of the rose, opposition thinking, the secret of the lake, the 10 rituals, the importance of time, and many more.

I must say, I got to read the book at the most appropriate time. An awakening read!
