Ignited Minds - Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Ignited Minds - Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

Marvellous indeed, I regret not reading it before. To begin describing, I found the book really practical and most relevant to real world complexities.

The former President has indeed proved that he is a true patriot, whose only aim is to make his country and countrymen achieve the feat that nobody could ever. And in this regard, he has put forth his views and opinions on every possible area that could be a potential source of pride for the nation, if worked upon.

We all know the significance of Dr. Kalam as a scientist and the President, and of course, the crucial role he has played in the development of missile technology that is eminent in any country's defense. The book summarizes the lessons he learnt through every hurdle in his career as a scientist.

The book contains nine chapters in total, and I particularly enjoyed the chapters titled 'Patriotism beyond Politics and Religion' and 'The Knowledge Society'.

All through the book, I was like, 'Oh, I can't agree more, this is absolutely true' and in some other pages, I would engage in a debate with myself, quarrelling 'Why this, not that'. One point was absolute, I could feel the patriot in me agreeing with Dr. Kalam throughout the length of the book.

The visions that he had for his country, have partially come true and have remained partially unachieved at present.
